Jeff Cangemi joined Star America during 2017 as Senior Vice President, bringing over thirty years’ experience in P3s, real estate development, project finance and construction management.
Prior to joining Star America, Jeff devoted over twelve years to the evolving U.S. PP3 market in a variety of leadership roles with international P3 firms ICA/Facchina, Balfour Beatty and Lend Lease. While with these firms, he focused on investment management, business development, market strategy, proposal supervision and operations.
At Lend Lease, Jeff was the Director of Development Operations for the firm’s Military Housing Privatization Portfolio, consisting of over 40,000 housing units with aggregate development scope of over $5 billion across 25 states. Additionally, he successfully led the $2 billion P3, Island Palm Communities in Hawaii, the largest residential P3 ever awarded by the Department of Defense.
Prior to entering the P3 market, Jeff spent ten years in Arizona with entrepreneurial real estate development firms, managing the development of over 4,500 residential units totaling over $800 million in project value. He began his business career in commercial lending with National City Corporation (now PNC), based in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jeff has completed multiple, employer-sponsored executive leadership programs during his career and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University (Ohio).
